PromptDC is a coding-first prompt rewriter that transforms vague developer prompts into precise, implementation-ready instructions optimized for AI code generation across supported web AI platforms.
The Chrome extension adds a floating toolbar above the chat/text input on supported AI sites (ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit, and many more), so you can rewrite prompts inline without switching tabs or copy-pasting between tools.

PromptDC for Chrome is designed for inline web AI usage: install once, write prompt, click enhance, and send.
01. Install from Chrome Web Store
Install PromptDC and pin the extension for quick access to sidebar settings.
02. Open a supported AI platform
Go to a supported web app (for example ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit, Gemini, Grok, and other supported platforms).
03. Optional: add your OpenAI API key (Lifetime)
If you use BYOK, add your OpenAI API key from PromptDC at `/account/subscription`. The key is stored locally in your Chrome browser, and PromptDC does not have access to the local key.
04. Use the floating toolbar
Write your prompt in the input and click the ✨ Enhance button on the floating toolbar. PromptDC rewrites the prompt in place with clearer scope, constraints, and output structure.
05. Use library + settings buttons
Use the Community button to insert prompts/files (or type `//` in supported inputs), the Settings button to open the sidebar, and the Disable button to turn PromptDC off for the current session. Change mode, format, language, and system prompt override in the sidebar or supported account settings.

Which models does this work with?
PromptDC supports many web AI apps and IDE workflows. On supported web platforms, the Chrome extension detects the platform and applies the matching rewrite behavior; in IDE extensions you choose the target model/IDE in settings.
Toolbar + Sidebar Features.
The floating toolbar exposes the core actions (Enhance, Community, Settings, Disable). The sidebar lets you configure language, format (Regular / JSON / XML / YAML), Simple vs Structured mode, custom prompt override, and Always Include rules. If enabled on the Lifetime plan, your OpenAI API key is added from /account/subscription and stored locally in Chrome (not on PromptDC servers).
Prompt Library + Sharing.
Access community-shared prompts and your personal library directly on supported sites. Type // in supported inputs to search, insert, and reuse prompts, or save selected text via right-click to your library.
