PromptDC is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that rewrites selected text in any app or browser with one shortcut. Pick a profile like Grammar, Email or Social, review the rewrite, and replace your text in place.

PromptDC includes ten built-in profiles: Code, Grammar, Email, Social, Image Prompt, Summarize, Reply, Professional, Concise, and Explain. You can also create custom profiles with your own instructions.

Select text in any app, then press Cmd+Shift+E on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows. Choose a profile, review the rewrite, and replace the selected text or copy the result.

Yes. Set a default profile per app, so Mail opens with Email and Slack with Concise. You can change the profile at any time from the Profile pill in the popover.

The popover shows the rewrite in Changes view, which marks deletions and additions, or in Edit view, where you can adjust the result. Replace pastes it over your selection, Copy puts it on the clipboard, and Try again requests a new rewrite.

Yes. In the desktop popover, open the Action field and type an instruction such as shorten this or translate to Spanish. It applies once and does not change your profiles.

Press Cmd+Shift+U on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+U on Windows to open the Enhance panel, type or paste your text, pick a profile, and run it there.

PromptDC requires sign-in, an internet connection, and a paid plan. Lifetime plan customers can use their own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI.
