PromptDC is a coding-first prompt rewriter that transforms vague developer prompts into precise, implementation-ready instructions optimized for AI code generation across GitHub Copilot workflows.
GitHub Copilot is supported through the PromptDC VS Code extension. Open the PromptDC sidebar to configure the target profile, enhancement mode, language, format, and custom system prompt override before running enhancement.
VS Code Extension Workflow.
Use the PromptDC VS Code extension sidebar + enhancement shortcut workflow for GitHub Copilot. PromptDC automatically rewrites and replaces your prompt directly in the VS Code chat flow.
01. Install the PromptDC VS Code extension
Install PromptDC from the VS Code marketplace and open the PromptDC activity-bar icon to access Settings, Library, and Community.
02. Configure sidebar settings
Choose the GitHub Copilot profile (or another supported VS Code target), pick Simple or Structured mode, language, format, and optionally override PromptDC system prompt logic.
03. Write your prompt in chat
Write the coding task in the VS Code chat input you want PromptDC to rewrite.
04. Enhance with shortcut
Press `Cmd+Ctrl+E` (Mac) or `Ctrl+Alt+E` (Windows/Linux). PromptDC automatically rewrites and replaces the prompt directly in the editor/chat input.

Which models does this work with?
PromptDC supports multiple IDE and web AI workflows. In IDE setups you choose the target model/IDE in settings, and on supported web apps PromptDC detects the platform and applies the matching rewrite behavior.
Simple + Structured Methods.
PromptDC supports both Simple and Structured enhancement methods for different task sizes. Configure these from the PromptDC sidebar Settings tab, and users can overwrite our prompt logic with their own custom system prompt when they need project-specific rules.
Community Standards.
Open the PromptDC sidebar (Settings / Library / Community) in the VS Code extension, then copy/paste prompts, system prompts, or markdown files into your GitHub Copilot chat workflow.
