Write in one language, rewrite in any other.

Pick one of nine languages from the quick global setting, or name any language the model supports in your own profile or a Custom Action. PromptDC rewrites selected text inside desktop apps and websites for you to review.

Step 2

Select the text you want to rewrite in any desktop app or on any website.

Step 3

Press the PromptDC shortcut to run the profile you need.

Step 4

Review the rewrite in the popover, then choose Replace when it is ready to go back into the app or website.

Write your own language rule

Name the output language in your own profile or a one-off Custom Action. The rule overrides the global Language setting and works with any language the model supports. Profiles and Actions are available in the current desktop app and Chrome extension, not the VS Code or Cursor extensions.

Reusable profile

Rewrite this professionally and always reply in Japanese.

One-off Action

Translate the selected text into Greek, keep the tone.

Where it works

Desktop app

Rewrite selected text in any app on macOS and Windows, including Slack, Outlook, Mail, Teams, and the terminal.

Chrome extension

Rewrite selected text on any website. Change the global Language setting from the Chrome sidebar.

Editor extensions

Rewrite prompts in VS Code and Cursor AI chat panels. Their sidebar Language setting is the only language control.

Real situations

Write to a supplier in China

Draft the request in your own language and set Language to Chinese. Review the rewritten message before placing it in your email or chat.

Answer a multilingual support inbox

Respond to customers in Spanish or Portuguese from the same support workflow. Switch the global Language setting to the language needed before each rewrite.

Write to head office in English

A non-native English speaker can draft a clear message in their own supported language. Set Language to English and review the rewrite before using it.

Understand an incoming message

Select a message that is difficult to parse and set Language to your own supported language. Run Summarize or Explain to read the result in that language.

Keep one tone across markets

An account manager can use the same writing profile for Spanish and Portuguese markets. Switch the global Language setting before each rewrite to keep the approach consistent.

Message candidates in their language

A recruiter can draft outreach once in their own supported language. Select a candidate's supported language in Settings, rewrite the text, and review it before use.
