The flagship PromptDC desktop app for macOS and Windows is built to enhance text and prompts everywhere — across all desktop apps, browsers, IDEs, and terminal CLIs like Claude Code and Codex. This page tracks what has shipped across desktop, Chrome, and IDE extensions, and what we are working on now. This is directional, not a commitment.

Unlike browser-only writing or prompt tools, the PromptDC desktop app works everywhere on macOS and Windows: native apps, every browser, IDE AI chat panels, and terminals. The Chrome extension and IDE extensions are optional additions; one desktop install covers every textarea, coding app, desktop app, and terminal.

  • Desktop app for macOS 12.0+ and Windows 10/11: rewrites selected text in any app, browser (Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox), chat tool, and IDE AI chat panel.
  • Terminal prompt enhancement with tool-specific targets for Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Grok, Agy, and OpenCode. An editable review popover opens before Replace pastes the result.
  • Custom Actions let you type a one-off instruction of up to 19,000 characters on desktop and Chrome instead of picking a saved profile.
  • Per-app default profiles on desktop and per-site rules in Chrome select a profile automatically, while format, language, and Always Include stay global.
  • Chrome extension rewrites editable web fields in place, copies read-only results, and needs no Accessibility permission.
  • IDE extensions for VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and other editors rewrite the prompt in the editor's AI chat panel with Simple or Structured output and never touch the file you are editing.
